Osaka Trip Part 2

Hope you guys all enjoyed the first part of my Golden Week Trip.  If you haven't read it yet, here is the link:  http://cboocks.blogspot.com/2011/05/osaka-trip-part-1.html

To continue from yesterday, after our crab dinner, we explored Dotombori Avenue.  It is the main shopping, food and tourist district in the city.  And it is crazy insane!  We actually explored the area both nights were were there, and it was tons of fun!  So, with out anymore distraction, here are the pictures. A lot of them are of advertisements.  Crazy, over-the-top advertisements.

Bunny that was handing out fliers for a Pachinko Parlor.

The Crab Restaurant where we ate dinner.  That crab is mechanical and moves.

Shady bar down a creepy alley.

Engrish. =P

Guy making Takoyaki (Fried Doughy Balls with Octopus inside)

Finished Takoyaki! Yum!

Turned the corner and found a shrine.

It was really pretty.

Why does a clothing store need a giant heart-shaped chandelier?
 Our last night there, we went to a small little restaurant that served Okonomiyaki (Japanese-style pizza that is more of a pancake) and Yaki-soba (noodles, cabbage & meat).  We were the last customers of the night and spent a few hours drinking, eating and talking with the cook/owner and his wife.  It was a blast.

Yakisoba!
That's all for right now.  These pictures take forever to upload.  Next blog will be on the Aquarium trip, followed by Osaka Castle.

<3 Love & Miss you! <3  Happy Mother's day to all the Mommies and Nannies out there!
