Kindergarten and a Night at Saki's With a Trip to Sento!

So, the past two Mondays, I worked at the kindergarten.  It was so much fun!  There were around 30 children both times, ages 3 to 5.  When we first arrive, it is snack time.  The children all sit down at tables in groups on 6-8 and proceed to play rock paper scissors to decide which two get to wash the table.  Then two others serve everyone before they say a prayer and start to eat.  After snack time is free time, and both days I taught little girls origami, and they taught me some while I taught them colors and a few other English words.  There were two little girls in particular that were so very sweet.  Mao-chan and Runa-chan.  They were sisters, aged 5 and 3.  We had so much fun and they were very enthusiastic about learning English words and playing with us.  After free time, whilst being mauled with hugs, we got the kids organized for "Meeting Time."  The first week, Iona and I taught the children "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes."  We ended up playing "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes" until class was over and the children left.  The second week, Lauren and I taught them "London Bridge" and "Ring Around the Rosie." London bridges was what we did until 4:00 and the children left.  Working at the Kindergarten was so much fun.  I'm going to miss the children and am so happy to have been given such a wonderful experience while I was here.

Now onto last night.  After Kindergarten, Iona, Nausicaa and I spent the night at Saki's house.  It was a BLAST! We went to a coffee shop, then went to Saki's house, and after taling with her mom and such, we went up on the roof with some water and tunes and just relaxed and danced and talked.  It was a ton of fun.

After a wonderful dinner of Beef Stroganoff, the four of us went to Sento, a Japanese bath house.  And yes, before you ask, Full Monty.  It's separated so men and women are separate, so don't worry about any pervy Japanese men seeing us naked.  Anyways, once you get over the whole naked factor, it was so nice and relaxing.  Why spend hundreds for a day at the spa when you can spend about $6 and spend as much time as you want at a wonderful bath house?  I swear it was just as relaxing.

And yes, it is very sanitary.  You shower before you go into any of the tubs.

Here are some pictures of the place we went to.

1. Carbonated Bath
2. Hot Bath
3. Standing Bubble Bath
4. Lay Down Bubble Bath
5. Electric Tub (Felt really nice!)
6. Massage (extra cost)  Don't know why it's included in this picture.

9. Heated Rock Bath (With a TV to watch)
10. Little Beds with water that trickles down from above your shoulders
11. Rest area
12. Hot Bath made of cedar filled with Chammomile water (My favorite)
13.  Mini Salt Baths.  1 was for anxiety, one was for good health, and one was for exfoliating
14.Another hot bath (They were all different temps)

6. Sauna heated to almost 200*F
7.  Really cold tub around 59*F
8. Not so cold tub that was 91*F

It was so nice, I felt so relaxed afterwards. This weekend is my birthday, so expect another bath....errr, I mean blog.  LOL!  It's too hot to not bathe,  I shower 2x a day now.  It's 11pm and it's 85* but feels like it's 91* because of the 75% humidity; and trust me it's hotter during the day.  I don't understand how people live when it's this hot out!  I go outside and I swear I lose weight because I sweat so much!!!  Anyways...

<3 Love and Miss You all <3
